A Message to Our Connecticut & New York Neighbors
Welcome to this new site, devoted to addressing community questions and correcting and clarifying information in the public domain about our 08/09 Expansion Project during the application process and, if approved, during the construction and commissioning phases. We realize that even after numerous public meetings and dozens more individual meetings with smaller groups, individuals, as well as public officials, there may remain questions and concerns in the community, all of which deserve responses. That's what this site is about.
This special site has three objectives:
1. To provide conveniently available, accurate information and answers to questions members of the public may have about our 08/09 Expansion Project during the application process and, if approved, the construction and commissioning phases.
2. To be a growing repository of information, disseminated from a variety of sources, to promote better public understanding. The information available on the site may include project descriptions, schedules, meeting notices, letters to the company, and letters to the press, with responses. This repository will be a source for accurate information as the project progresses. Just look at the Project Site Index, on the left side of this page, for the categories of available information.
3. To facilitate getting questions to me, as project manager, and others in the company. New questions of general interest and my answers will appear on the site as we are able to develop appropriate responses.
Obtaining permits, certificates, and approvals to operate and expand our facilities is a very public process. We believe the communities where we operate expect and deserve to have their questions answered in a forum accessible to all.
