Expansion Projects

NYMARC Penn Option

Following a successful NYMarc Open Season that concluded in January 2010, Marcellus Shale producers indicated a preference for a pipeline expansion directly into the heart of the production area in northeastern Pennsylvania.  As a result, Iroquois is evaluating a 135-mile alternative pipeline route, which would begin with interconnections into the Tennessee Gas and Inergy Pipelines in Bradford County Pennsylvania.  The pipeline would traverse and receive gas from production areas in Bradford, Susquehanna, and Wayne counties in Pennsylvania.  In New York, the pipeline would interconnect with the Millennium Pipeline in Sullivan County and then continue through Ulster and Dutchess counties where it would finally join the Iroquois mainline at Pleasant Valley.

When completed (as early as November, 2014), the NYMarc Penn Option will provide producers the opportunity to supply greater than 1 BCF/d to major gas markets in New York and New England through Iroquois' existing pipeline system.
